SOURCE OF HOMOEOPATHIC MEDICINES
The main homeopathic medicines are derived from vegetable, mineral, or animal sources. Some of those are highly poisonous in their crude, undiluted form, but the homoeopathic method of preparation yields such extremely high dilutions that there is never a danger of toxicity.
Another important group of homoeopathic medicines are the nosodes derived from disease products, sarcodes derived from healthy secretions.
MODE OF DISPENSING
Homoeopathic medicine may be given in liquid form, or more usually in sugar pills or in powders.
